Bath City Center to the Old Red House
Leaving Bath via Queen Square (with Francis Hotel and Obolisk), look for sign to A4 Bristol. At second set of lights by a pub called The Weston the road forks, take the left fork and we are approximately 200yds on the left. M4/A46 to the Old Red House avoiding Bath City Center and one-way system. (This saves at least half an hour and a great deal of frustration). Leave M4 at Junction 18 and take A46 to Bath. Go through the village of Pennsylvania. At next roundabout turn right to the A420 towards Bristol, after a quarter of a mile turn left to Landsdown Park and Ride and Hamswell. Go past the smelly pig farm, the country lane dips and rises to a T Junction. Bear left and go up hill along a flat plane, past the Racecourse and Golf Course. You will see a large pub called The Blathwayt Arms on the right. About three hundred yards past the pub take the small sneeky turn right to Weston. Passengers can admire the view, driver keep eyes on the road ! At the bottom of the hill there is a mini roundabout, take the left exit. Go through the village and past The Royal United Hospital. At mini roundabout opposite the New Crown pub, turn left and immediately right. Go down Chelsea Road and we are facing you at the bottom. Approaching Bath on A36 from Salisbury/Stonehenge Down towards Bath on the A36 following signs A36 Bristol. Just carry on, over roundabout, under bridge, still following signs A36 (A4) Bristol. Go left under railway arches past Toyota and Renault Garages, signs change to A4 Bristol. At Wellsway B.M.W. Garage, keep to centre lane and turn right. Over bridge and past Gas Storage Tanks, at next lights turn left to Bristol A4. At next lights by The Weston pub take left fork. We are on the next corner on the left. Approaching Bath on A39 from Wells/Bristol A4 As you near Bath on dual carriageway follow sign left to Park and Ride Newbridge. We are approximately one mile, on the right, just after the second set of pedestrian traffic lights. From City Centre - One mile from Queens Square along the Upper Bristol Road (head west keeping to the north of the river) Just past The Weston (pub) on the left.
